Yorkshire Syrup Tart

6oz Shortcrust pastry
3oz breadcrumbs
3tbl golden syrup
1 apple, grated
3oz mixed dried fruit
rind and juice of a lemon
pinch of mixed spice

Line an 8″ flan dish with pastry
mix the other ingredients and fill the case
decorate with strips of pastry

Bake in a hot oven for 30 minutes
