Oatmeal Biscuits

This is one of Mary Peden’s recipes, hand-written in Argory Tea Room paper

4oz margarine /butter
2oz caster sugar
5oz Porridge oats
2oz plain flour
pinch of baking soda

Cream fat+sugar, mix in other ingredients, knead and lightly roll out to approx 1/4″ thickness and cut into rounds.

Bake at 170ºC for 15-20 mins
