{"id":1157,"date":"2021-09-20T23:15:58","date_gmt":"2021-09-20T22:15:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.notnick.com\/cookbook\/?p=1157"},"modified":"2021-09-20T23:15:59","modified_gmt":"2021-09-20T22:15:59","slug":"crumpets-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.notnick.com\/cookbook\/crumpets-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Crumpets"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>makes<\/strong>\u00a06\u00a0crumpets\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>150g \u00a0plain white flour\u00a0<\/li><li>200ml\u00a0warm water\u00a0&#8211; c23\u00bac<\/li><li>1\/2\u00a0tsp\u00a0salt<\/li><li>1\/2\u00a0tsp sugar<\/li><li>1\u00a0tsp\u00a0baking powder<\/li><li>1\u00a0tsp dried\/instant yeast<\/li><li>Veg oil to cook<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Whisk all tge ingredients together for 2-3 minutes<\/li><li>Cover the bowl and let proove for  15 to 30 minutes until the surface is bubbly.<\/li><li>Grease crumpet rings wih oil, ladel a 1\/4 cup batter into each ring and cook for 1.5 mins until bubbles  appear on the surface.<\/li><li>Turn heat down and cook until some bubbles start to pop around the edges.<\/li><li>Turn heat down to medium low and cook for another 3 minutes, until the surface is &#8220;set&#8221;.<\/li><li>Remove from the rings and flip to cook the other side &#8211; until light brown. <\/li><li>let cool on a cooling rack so that they con&#8217;t get sweaty on the base &#8211; eat straight away or toast from cold.
