It&#8217;s incredibly rich, and guarded by my Dad through Christmas. It&#8217;s not offered to everyone!<\/p>\n<p>One thin slice will go great with a little cream for a desert. It can be prepared days ahead, and lasts well.  <\/p>\n<p>1 tin unsweetened chestnut pur\u00e9e<br \/>\n6oz unsalted butter<br \/>\n6 oz caster sugar<br \/>\n10oz plain chocolate<br \/>\n1 orange<br \/>\n2 tblspn grand marnier<br \/>\n9&#8243;x4&#8243; bread tin (lined)<\/p>\n<p>beat pure till light and soft<br \/>\nbeat butter to a soft cream then add sugar and beat again.<br \/>\ngradually beat melted chocolate with everything<br \/>\nfine grate the orange peel into the mix, along with the orange&#8217;s juice<br \/>\nadd grand marnier<br \/>\nput into a lined tin and allow to set in the fridge over night<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every year my Mum makes one of these.
