      I’ve been trying to find a good recipe for this savoyard region – and this is a bit of a mix of a few. I’ve seen a few recipes with cream, but am pretty sure this is wrong. I’m going with the bacon, spuds, onion and cheese version.<\/ol>\n

        • 5 medium <\/span>potatoes <\/span>(waxyish, or something that won’t fall apart)<\/li>\n
        • pancetta <\/span>(cubed smokey bacon. 1 big handfull\/ 2 supermarket packs.)<\/span><\/li>\n
        • an\u00a0<\/span>onion, sliced\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
        • 1clove<\/span>\u00a0garlic<\/span><\/li>\n
        • 1 petit\u00a0<\/span>reblochon cheese <\/span>(bottom crust cut off<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. Boil the potatoes and slice.<\/li>\n
          2. fry the lardons, add the onions and finally garlic. (don’t overcook the garlic, it’ll taste nasty)<\/li>\n
          3. In a dish, layer the potatoes with bacon\/onion mix, \u00a0potato = top layer.<\/li>\n
          4. Place the cheese on top (crust up). it’ll melt around the dish.<\/li>\n
          5. Bake in a moderately hot oven until the cheese melts and bubbles.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
