Continue to create layers until you have used up the ingredients.<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator  separator-solid-grayoffwhite last\">Pour over the vinegar and cider and dots\u00a0of\u00a0butter. \u00a0Bring to the boil then simmer with a lid on for 1\u00bd hrs, until tender.<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator  separator-solid-grayoffwhite last\">Check the liquid level every know and then.
