{"id":848,"date":"2017-08-05T15:28:19","date_gmt":"2017-08-05T14:28:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.notnick.com\/cookbook\/?p=848"},"modified":"2017-08-05T15:28:19","modified_gmt":"2017-08-05T14:28:19","slug":"brandy-snaps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.notnick.com\/cookbook\/brandy-snaps\/","title":{"rendered":"Brandy snaps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Makes 12<\/p>\n<p>50g butter<br \/>\n50g caster sugar<br \/>\n30ml golden syrup<br \/>\n50g plain flour<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp ground ginger<br \/>\n1tsp brandy<br \/>\n150ml double cream &#8211; whipped for filling<\/p>\n<p>Preheat the oven to 180\u02dac + line 2-3 baking sheets (ptfe sheets are best &#8211; these things can get sticky)<\/p>\n<p>Heat the butter, sugar and syrup in a pan until mixed. Remove from the heat and stir in the flour and ginger.<\/p>\n<p>put small spoonfuls of the mix onto baking sheets, 10cm apart (they spread). Bake for 7 mins until bubbling. Take them out of the oven, and roll the soft disc around a wooden spoon handle to make the tubes.
