{"id":917,"date":"2018-08-07T22:47:49","date_gmt":"2018-08-07T21:47:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.notnick.com\/cookbook\/?p=917"},"modified":"2018-08-07T22:47:49","modified_gmt":"2018-08-07T21:47:49","slug":"black-current-mint-sorbet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.notnick.com\/cookbook\/black-current-mint-sorbet\/","title":{"rendered":"Black current &#038; mint Sorbet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>200g golden caster sugar<br \/>\n200ml water<br \/>\n2-3 sprigs of mint<br \/>\n750g black currents<br \/>\njuice of 2 lemons<br \/>\nshot of vodka, (to keep soft serve)<\/p>\n<p>Boil the sugar and water to make a simple syrup.<\/p>\n<p>Add the\u00a0blackcurrants to the syrup and boil for a couple of minutes until until the fruit is soft, and berries broken. Add mint leaves once off the heat and steep for 10 mins. (remove mint).<\/p>\n<p>Strain into a bowl through a sieve , rubbing through as much of the pulp as you can, leaving the skins and seeds. Stir in the lemon juice and cool. Add the vodka.
